Biden Bans Russian Ships from Docking at the US Ports

The Biden administration continues to support Ukraine by various means in the ongoing war started by Russia.

“That means no ship—no ship that sails under the Russian flag or that is owned or operated by Russian interests will be allowed to dock in a United States port or access our shores. None. None,” Biden commented.

Previously, the UK and Canada banned Russian vessels from entering the countries’ ports.

Apart from banning Russian-affiliated vessels from entering US ports, Biden announced an $800 million aid package to Ukraine and the weapon system transfer to the country.

President Biden also mentioned establishing “Unite for Ukraine”, a sponsorship program for Ukrainian refugees who can seek temporary stay and care in American families or nongovernmental organizations.
