Cowboys for Trump Leader Was Found Guilty of the January 6 Capitol Riot
The US District Court for the District of Columbia found Couy Griffin guilty of the US Capitol breach that happened on January 6, 2022.
According to the immediate press release, “Couy Griffin, 48, of Tularosa, New Mexico, was found guilty of entering and remaining in the restricted building or grounds.” Also, “he climbed over a stone wall and entered the lawn on the West Front of the Capitol, within the restricted area.”
The “Cowboys for Trump” founder may be sentenced to 1 year in prison or probation, or he may get a fine. Federal juries of the US District Court for the District of Columbia will claim their final verdict on June 17.
Overall, federal judges have accused about 800 persons of involvement in the US Capitol breach. Over 200 of them were already found guilty and are still waiting for the final verdict.
