Proud Boys Chairman Was Arrested for US Capitol Riot Attempt

Henry “Enrique” Tarrio was charged with conspiracy in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. He was arrested in Miami on Tuesday.
According to the indictment, Tarrio was accused of involvement in the Capitol attack, including other Proud Boys members Ethan Nordean, Charles Donohoe, Joseph Biggs, etc.
The Proud Boys group is a far-right extremist group that supports supremacist ideas. Previously, in December 2020, Proud Boys tore down and burned a Black Lives Matter banner from the church for Black people. As a result, the District of Columbia authorities ordered Tarrio, the group leader, to immediately leave the city.
The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the Justice National Security Division will pursue the case.
