If you are purchasing or selling something, such as technology devices, horses, artwork, firearms, cars, or boats, you should consider having a bill of sale document in the state of Florida.
To create a bill of sale,you can utilize templates that already exist, which you simply fill in accordingly. It doesn’t matter what the item is; these templates can be used regardless. However, as long as you understand what has to be included in each transaction document, you can create your own, especially if you have a unique situation. There are many situations where you might want to provide proof that you purchased an item. A Florida general bill of sale is a legal document that provides proof of a sale or negotiation executed between two different people or groups. This is the form you would use to transfer ownership of an item. A general bill of sale must be notarized, so you shouldn’t sign the document until you are in front of a notary.

If you are in the state of Florida, there is an official form you can use to sell a car, Form HSMV 82042. When you sell a boat, you can use the vessel bill of sale template. Florida does not actually require a bill of sale for boats, but it’s strongly recommended. In order to register any type of water vessel, you must provide proof of ownership. A bill of sale serves as one of the acceptable documents to substantiate that ownership.
If one is selling a vessel, the notice of sale section on the back of a title certificate or the appropriate HSMV 82050 form must be submitted to the local tax office within 30 days.

Florida does not legally require a bill of sale or any documentation for a private gun purchase. However, if you buy it through a licensed firearms dealer, you will have to complete a form and receive approval from the Department of Law Enforcement in the State of Florida.
While a bill of sale is not required for a private gun purchase, it is highly recommended because it protects the seller in the event that the gun is later used in a crime or is stolen.
Therefore, if you are selling or buying a firearm in Florida, you should strongly consider completing a Florida firearm bill of sale to prove that ownership was transferred. This document needs to be notarized, so don’t sign the certificate until you are with a notary.

You must also include any liens against the horse, the registry status and breed status of the horse, and the dam and sire if you have that information.

For a firearm, this should include the make, model, serial number, and caliber. For a vehicle or vessel, you want to include the year,make, and model, the title number, the color, and the body type. For a motor vehicle, you also need to include the odometer disclosure statement for the DMV, which shows what the odometer reads at the date it is being sold and whether this reflects the actual mileage or is in excess of mechanical limits.
The sections should include the price of the sale and any other terms of the purchaseFor example, some people exchange one car for another car, so that should be put in the agreement. Additionally, if you are receiving an item as a gift, such as a firearm, or you are accepting a cash payment on the date that the bill of sale is signed, this information should be included.
