36 U.S. Code Section 22701 - Organization 2018

(a) Federal Charter.—AMVETS (American Veterans) (in this chapter, the "corporation") is a federally chartered corporation.

(b) Perpetual Existence.—Except as otherwise provided, the corporation has perpetual existence.
