§ 820-1-3-.04. Procedures For Use Of Electronic Or Digital Form And Electronic Payments
(a) Each concealed weapon permit shall be written or in an electronic or digital form.
(b) Sheriffs shall determine whether said permits in their county will be in written or in an electronic or digital form for permit applications and renewals.
(c) Sheriffs shall determine and implement which electronic or digital format works best for their county in the event they choose to provide that option for permit applications and renewals.
(d) Sheriffs shall determine and implement the type of electronic payment option that works best for their county in the event they choose to provide that option for permit applications and renewals.
(e) Sheriffs shall charge a fee as provided by local law for the issuance or renewal of a permit. The fee shall be multiplied by the number of years that the permittee chooses to renew, with said renewal period not to exceed five years.
(f) Each permit shall bear the name, address, physical description, and signature of the permittee.(New Rule: Filed March 28, 2014; effective May 2, 2014.)
